Lake Issyk-Kul, I believe the second largest alpine lake in the world, might as well be an ocean in the mountainous, land-locked country of Kyrgyzstan. Complete with sunbathing tourists and leering men selling camel rides, it offers a surreal respite for those who spend most of the year living in subfreezing temperatures.

Hi Chris,
nice shot, it's pity you have cut the camel off. I like the three leveled picture (sky,lake and sand), howevr could be better composoed.
