Photographer’s Note
It was still early morning on New Year's Day 2001, with a clear sky when I went for a hike into the hills behind where we lived in Bishkongae, some 12 km south of Bishkek. The hills rise into a high snow covered mountain range. This Kyrgyz farmer was out looking for his cattle when he crested a rise, with the mountains of Kazakhstan in the northern background.

Great! There is something about the colors that give this pic an atmosphere of older times. I like the contrast between the foreground thistle and the soft background.

Very nice photograph!
I love the softness of the image. The subject is great, and I like how you've chosen to capture horse & rider as the decend into the thistle.
Nice image!

your fotos remind me more of painted pictures. That concerns both - subject and texture. I like it very much.

Very nicely composed Robin. This photo should have four times as many points. Very nice! God's best, Tim
