Photographer’s Note

Son Kul Lake.
Its altitude is very high (3017m above the sea level), so the weather can change dramatically in a very short time.
Vast plains around the lake are a home for nomads and their herds.

And then there are destinations which are special to me, and Kyrgyzstan is one of them, for its nature so hhuge and untouched.

Hello Aga,

Welcome to Trekearth. What a superb shot you have offered at your debut. I don't believe in message in the sky, but the cloud formation is so unusual, so enigmatic, that it probable will inspire some viewers to look at likenesses of people, the devil...

what an amazing cloud, its reflection on water, and the little rainbow, a great moment captured
this warm light is wonderful, maybe a simple landscape which would have looked nice with the horse, but the moment was a delightful show of mother nature

The cloud and the low angle of light make this a striking photo.
I think the cloud is textured/shaped like goat fur or horse' tail.
Overall, you captured a perfect light, placed the horse correctly.

Aga, welcome to TE, when we aren't fighting we are a pretty interesting group. Your entry shot is spectacular, the cloud is awesome for sure but then too is the whole shot, the horse is not centered, the colors are superb, the frame is completely full, maybe we are going to learn from you. I agree that post is part of the process and like the thought of not overdosing.

This is superbly atmospheric, with the stunning light and those clouds overhead. I like how the emptiness of the landscape is relieved by the horse and the other animals scattered in the background.
Your photo would benefit from a crop along the top to remove that patch of blue sky in the top left corner, but other than that I think it's excellent.

Spectacular, dramatic shot, Aga! The clouds are ferocious and yet no water touches the ground. The horse appears to know that he will not be touched. Thank you, Judy

Superb light on a "deserted" area. You focused on the sky because it is really interesting, but the low par ( )meadow with a lonely horse is also eye catching
