Silkroad travels: Kyrgyzstan
We arrived in the unimpressive but traditional stopover on the Silkroad, Sary Tash. The cimetery of Sary Tash is Islamic but you can spot traditional elements from Kyrgyz nomad life (Yak tails, a skeleton yurt), even a Soviet style epitaph has its place. Interesting: the Kyrgyz seem to have resisted quite well to cultural influences from the outside (China, Russia, Kazachstan) but easily adopted some elements they found worthy .

Hallo Dieter!

Hey Dietrich,
A lovely presentation and a theme you explain well with the note. A good composition, with a lot of elements. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy
