Osh...an interesting melting pot of culture. The colourful Bazaar offers a wide range of merchandise, usually made by hand from local Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Tajik or Uigher artisans. Not to mention the seasonal produce from the Fergana valley (which at the time were the most delicious apricots i have ever tasted).

The borders in this region have been divided up in an intentionally unorganized fashion. In fact, many believe the former Soviet Union drew up the borders b/w Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to create conflict, stall economic progress and foster dependence on Moscow.

This man looked as though he was engaged in an interesting conversation. After watching him walk away, it looked as though he may have also been engaged in an afternoon with the vodka bottle.
