A quelques heures de piste de la frontière chinoise au col de Torugart, s'étend la vallée de l'Arpa
Pendant les 5-6 mois d'été, quelques bergers se disséminent dans la solitude cette immense étendue, gardant leur troupeau ainsi que ceux confiés par les villageois et les riches propriétaires
Chevaux, vaches, moutons et parfois yaks paissent tranquillement avant d'être rassemblés au coucher du soleil dans un enclos, à l'abri des loups et autres prédateurs

A few hours on dust roads away from the Chinese border at the Torugart pass, stretches the Arpa valley
During 5-6 summer months, a few shepherds scatter in the loneliness of this huge high plateau, watching their own herd as well as those entrusted to them by the villagers and rich owners
Horses, cows, sheep and yaks quietly graze before being rounded up at sunset into paddocks, at shelter from wolves and other predators

Not very usual from you to see a picture devoid of life forms prominently! But the scene which echoes the sounds of silence! The stream flows through the centre of the frame while the cattle & horses graze. The mellow light has been well captured!

Hello Patrick - The work you post from this part of the world never fails to impress. This shot is fantastic, I love it for the wonderful composition. The wide open space is so well conveyed with the meandering river, the few scattered horses, the far distant mountains and soft cloudy sky. The light is marvellous casting lovely shadow and illuminating the grassland with a warm tone. Extremely beautiful shot. Warm regards rosemary

Joli rendu de ce vaste paysage avec ce contraste de teintes et de lumières avec un cours d'eau qui donne encore plus de profondeur à ton image et la présence de ces chevaux, un bon détail bien mis en valeur par la lumière.

Very well put climate of the place, I like the tones and natural colors. It scares the emptiness that is very exposed in picture, I think that was the plan.
