Photographers Note
The Kolsai lakes are one of the treasures of Kungei Alatau (Northern Tien Shan). This is the lowest lake out of the three mountain lakes, set among steep pine-clad slopes. Simply beautiful, but the water is too cold to swim in it.

Hi Saule, this is a nice shot of some beautiful scenery. I like the horse and people in the foreground as they add some life to the image. Thanks for posting this picture from a country little seen on TE.

Hi Saule,
It's a nice view! Well done that you include the man with the horse. Clouds are a little overexposed but it's fine. Your must be an interesting country to visit.
A smile and thanks in appreciating my photos.

Hello Saule
So this is what Kazakhstan looks like, I've heard so much about it through my late nabour (He died of cancer 2 years ago).
I've always imagined a much more steppe like landscape and a bit arid.... this is a lot different from what I expected!
The perspective works great. Nice open view, good DOV, clear and natural colours and just enough light to give the right impression.
The light in some of the clouds are a bit hard but it still works great.
A very nice feature in the photo is the diagonal road and the lady(?) and the horse. They add a nice element of size comparison.
Thank you for sharing.

Good shot, a shame that the clouds are so bright, would have been nice if there were more shades of grey in the sky, also the position of the donkey and man aren't the best as they lead the eye out of the picture. BUT, a wonderful landscape, love the crossing of the mountains in the middle of the shot and not only in this shot but on all mountain sides, the way the trees sit upright but on such a steep slope. TFS
