Photographer’s Note
The road from Almaty, in Kazakhstan, to Lake Issyk-Kol in Kyrgyzstan, swings east and then south so as to get to one of the few low passes (2000m - 6600ft) through the Tian Shan (Heavenly Mountains) that form the border between the two countries. Some maps show this road as though it were a major highway; it is NOT (see the WS).
The village of Qarqara is the last habitation on the way to the border, about 10-15 km away. We stopped there to stretch our legs and look around. There is a mosque with an aluminum dome that I may show later, but I what found more interesting was the village itself, seen here with a bit of the Tian Shan in the distance.

Hello Daniel.
A good shot of this tiny village with some snowy tops on the background. The well chosen pov gives a useful depth.
Well done.
Best regards.
Bobo.
