Photographer’s Note
This is the Meganebashi (Eyegelass) Bridge in front of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. The shot was taken late in the afternoon, so the arches reflections were quite vivid. No PP, due to the light and environmental conditions, part of the image seems desaturated.

This is indeed very clever and creative - it looks very ambiguous in the thumbnail and when you open it you see that it's a simple bridge with reflections and two swans. The thing is the swans are exactly at the same spot making the other curve look like its own reflection. I like it a lot except for the bottom part. I think it would have been much better if you had cropped it. Then the optical illusion would be stronger.

Hello Cristian,
Wonderful perspective and original shot. Great sharpness and colours. I like the contrast between the eyes of the bridge' behind. Great reflections on water. Regards from Türkiye.

My first impression of this photo is a side-by-side montage of the same location in different conditions. I wonder how many others have stood at the same POV you took this, and did not "see" what you have captured?
One for the portfolio, indeed!

Hi Cristian, i see two big eyes here, one is colorful and the other is B&W.. and two swans are at the right place in the composition... but the bottom part would be cropped i think..

Hi Christian,
An interesting symetrical picture. Little differences and great harmony all over your picture.

Hello Cristian, Two stone eyes - one seeing colour, and the other not! I agree with 'tehanu' that cropping to remove the very white area at the lower edge would make this even better - but it is a fascinating image and a lovely piece of work.
Best wishes....Maggie

Hello Cristian,
One takes almost strange and fascinating. I love to see the swans in the water because it gives life and dynamism to the stones. Excellent color and composition.
Best regards,

Wow, that's simply excellent. The broken symmetry is great, producing a strong visual impact. It's very well composed to produce maximum visual confusion (the bridge, the swans, the background, the foreground reflection). A very smart idea.

Hello Christian
Well done with this nice composition with a very good lights exposure management.
It was also an interesting decisive moment.

Hi Cristian,
This is wonderful and well seen. I love that looking through the one archway there is colour and through the other it is virtually monochromatic, and even better that tehre is a swan framed in each archway as well. nice.

Cristian:
the thumbnail is eye-catching. i see it as a mask, with two eyes looking into passages to opposite worlds. the swans are like the white reflection in the pupils. one eye looks into a colorful natural world, but the other looks into a monochromatic structured world. the pilaster as a nose stands strong between the 2 worlds with the screaming mouth being the white reflection of the sky. Excellent composition, color, and passion!
thanx 4 sharing

Superba , simetrie si contrast , negrul puternic patat de putina dar intensa culoare , lebedele , totul pare fi la locul lui si cu un rost estetic.
Geniala.

Hi Cristian, I like this shot. The colour below one arc and the gray below the other gives the picture a nice special effect. Very well done. Ciao, Marco.

Cristian,
It does look like a pair of eyes watching me. Kind of creepy actually. It also look as if it's a mirror image because it just happens that was a swan in each eye and wond has been turned into black and white. Really good contrast between the two. Beautiful and vivid reflection and color. Good composition showing the reflection and ripple with details. Thanks

Hello Cristian
and thanks for your critic.
So i took a look at your gallery and stop on this one. If i unsatured a part of my picture to give effect, here it's naturally done. Oppostion of color behind 2 arches are excellent and symetrical framing you choose increase the effect. Final touch is given by those birds (sorry i don't know name in English), who seems to be a copy/paste of themselve. A really nice picture with an incredible scenery, well job.
Have a good day

Hello Cristian,
Before reding your note, I was convinced that it was a partially desaturated photo. The effect is surprising but I like it.
Your composition makes me think about the passage of life. Sometimes you have to ways in front of you. Depending on so few things, perhaps even without knowing, you will follow the dark one or the vivid and colour one.
Very good job, well seen!

Marianne

Hi Cristian!
What a fantastic picture!
Two valves from the bridge with two reflections in the water and two birds this very well performed composition. The color in the right side opposes the other grey side in a wonderful way.
