Roof of Japan

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The rising sun is shining on the highest point of Mt. Fuji (3776 metres). This point is a 30 minute walk around the crater rim from where this photo was taken.
The Japanese say a wise man climbs Mt Fuji once, a fool twice. We noticed only a few people walked right around the crater which takes an hour and passes a post office, a temple and a weather station before returning to the souvenir shop/vending machine area.
Mt. Fuji last erupted in 1707. |

A very spectacular view of from the summit! Looks quite surreal with all that cloud/mist. The sunlight in the background landscape is also a great addition to the shot.
Cheers,
Dave
