[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is a photo of the famous Zen garden at Ryoan-Ji in Kyoto. This is an example of a Dry Landscape Zen garden with 15 stones surrounded by white gravel.
This photo was taken from a raised, wooden platform which was packed with people. Everyone had to remove their shoes on entering this temple and no-one was allowed to step down onto the same level as the garden. Even though there were lots of people there, everyone was very quiet and this added to the peaceful atmosphere.
