the Tokyo metropolitan government office building,
in my thinking, this is the symbol of the extravagance of officials with public funds, moreover this design is not quite cool...

Dear Akihisa,

despite of not so elegant design this building impresses great deal with its size and massive volume, specially when compared to distant buildings behind it, looking so small and meaningless. Even the one, from which this photo is taken, appears in subordinate position, judging from its shadow. Back light is wonderful and it makes it possible to manifestate a gradient of shadows disappearing and loosing their intensitivity towards the top. The one thing I have to ask you is: is that little light spot in horizon of our eyes your flash fired? :) I think it is not, it seems to high but I would like to think so. :)

Really impressive architecture. Gigantic in size. Stands tall amaong the others. Misuse of public funds??Well you know best!!

careful of what you say, especially as i think you are probably quite right....
however not only the building is quite impressive ( obvious show of force) and it is quite obvious tahta there is a will to be over and above everybody!!
anyway the pink/golden light mellows it quite a bit .i like the overlap of shadows and reflexes , itgives it almost a soul...

I found this image in your gallery, it was posted a year ago, but photos are always timeless after you took them, aren't they? :)
very interesting effect! cold and warm colours in one shot! in one building... and it looks so futuristic :)
