Photographer’s Note

Photo prise dans le quartier de Gion. Normalement, on voir beaucoup plus de choses sur la photo originale (arrière plan plus étendu, on voit le corps en entier des trois personnes). Je me suis décidé pour cette version en N&B mais je suis loin d'être sûr.

Picture taken in the Gion area. In the original picture, we can see mor things : the background is more deep and we can see all the bodies of the three persons. I decided myself for this B&W version but I'm not sure.

It is beautiful in bqw, Olivier, and I think that you have cropped it very well. There is a lot of tensed activity here, many stories that you couldd imagine. A very interesting scene, very good captured/

Encore une fois, c'est le portrait d'une journée comme toute les autres qui est décrit sur cette image. Les trois sujets marquent une certaine originalité dans leurs attitudes et leurs regards, surtout l'agent du milieu. C'est bien fait et je trouve que derriére tout cela il y a de l'humour.

Etrange image que celle ci, insolite dans ce moment figé
Quasi surréaliste par son Noir et blanc
A la fois une transposition d’un Kyogen contemporain ou une fascination de l’absurde d’un modern Butoh…
Une image que j’aurais aimé faire

I like the way the three figures in the foreground are all different in expression, but all the same distance from the lens. The background is like a backdrop on a stage set. Nice effect.
