I'm a sucker for subway's and kimono's so this one automatically caught my eye from the start. I like the photo a lot. The shadows are nice and deep. The simple composition is what's key; two signs next to each other with her on the stairs & nothing above her head...
The lighting is good to me as well. It might lack a little color saturation though. Maybe, a little cropping in the foreground as well. I'd like to try out a workshop if you don't mind.
Regards,
Brian

Simple and poignant shot. It has great balance throughout in terms of set up and framing - so well done there. I like the workshop in terms of cutting out the tiles. It doesnt detract though from what you had to twork with. Alas, you have really captured the clash of the tradional kimono clad woman vs. the modern subway.
Well done
Brendon
