Photographer’s Note
Taken in late afternoon on a walk through Gion section of Kyoto. Up until now, our quest to see a real live geisha was fruitless...My wife said, all of a sudden, "Look!" I turned, saw, brought the camera up and shot. Not the best shot, but I like the slightly blurred effect of this young lady moving on to work.

Hello Sand,
I like the green colour of her Kimono. And as you say, the blurred effect gives active atomosphere to this picture. Good shot!
In addition, Kyotoites don't say "Geisha" like Tokyoites. I think it's better to call them "Maiko" and "Geiko" in Kyoto. (just my opinion....)
