Photographer’s Note
The last few days I've been uploading closeup shots of the statuary here at Nihonji Temple in Chiba. Here's a wider view of what the grounds look like. Paths crisscross the small mountain with statuary tucked into the cliffs along the way. There are said to be over 1500 unique statues here so there's plenty to see. (And I haven't yet showed the main attraction which is a huge buddha figure 30m tall.)
