Photographer’s Note
This was a picture taken in the Hein Shrine park.
I thought this shot is kind of different from my other shots that I have been posting, it shows roots that stretch to endless paths and inbetween were baby trees appearing from the mother tree.
It was kind of different from anything else I have ever seen and I havent seen anything like this before.
You can see the Cherry blossom petals on the ground, so I guess that adds to the picture.
I also hope you like the shades too in the pic.
I hope you like it
I have only cropped the the top part of this to eliminate some unwanted trees.

Impressive roots, Daniel !
And the light and shadow playing on them is really well done.
Maybe can you just crop a little bit in the top to eliminate the green thing just in the left top corner.
Good shot, Daniel !

Very nice shot Dan - and also well spotted - Its seldom to see the roots this way - and moreover a "child" - You did a good job in this caputure - I like the light/shadow to give extra life.
(Remind me of the "top-less" tree I never posted - may be I will soon ;-)

This shot tells me that I should look down more often and see what can happen with a different subject. Well seen...I would have never though of photographing tree roots, but here it looks nice. This could be a good abstract shot as well and if you turn in into B&W you'll have something along the lines of Ansel Adams style. Anyway, well done.

I like it, Dan. A fine detail shot of the tree roots that make an interesting pattern, and it's also engaging to see the never-ending cycle being continued by looking at the young trees on the right. Looks great the way it is with the contrast and colors - a more "abstract" version might be a cropping or an alternate shot showing only the maze of roots. Well captured!

Very amusing how you succeeded to present these simple roots and make out of them a picture, beautified by the petals of the cherry blossoms. Very creative shot, Daniel! :-) Thank you for sharing!

Great texture & pattern in the tree roots. I'd crop those green roof eaves in the top left. the dappled lighting is nice. Well seen.

Very nice. The roots spread out incredibly. The grass seems so soft like some kind of green water over them with the roots exposing themselves as they reach out. The shade and lighting are nice, too. But those roots really get me. Very interesting. Nicely photographed and well seen.
