Photographer’s Note
Glorious, and maybe a bit overwhelming to those who are just passing through, or who have just moved to the country, there's no place in the world like Tokyo.
The view from the Tokyo Tower Main Observatory is probably the finest in the city; in my opinion, it gives a much more impressive view than the Government Tower in Shinjuku, mainly because the majority of the buildings outside of Shinjuku are low-rise, and the main observatory of Tokyo Tower is at a level of 150m.
The Tokyo Tower has been an icon of the Capital since the 1950's. Meanwhile, it's days as a television tower may be numbered; a 500-meter tall tower is planned for Saitama, and Nippon Television City Corporation has outlined a plan for a 700m tall tower.
In the summer, when the air is thick and humid, it mixes with the smog to create some hauntingly beautiful sunsets.

Very impressive sunset and city-scape. It seems to go on forever. The density and the chaos yet ordered chaos is evident here. The color of the sky is nice and how the skyscrapers in the distance blend into the smog is beautiful. It's not like the other sunsets on here, that's fore sure. It's very interesting. And almost surreal.
