This picture was taken at Nison-in temple in Arashiyama, Kyoto. Arashiyama is one of the most famous places for momiji (maple leaves)in Japan.

Beautiful color, such uniform orange, our maples are more varied. Like the way the background is filled in with roof details. Try sharpening to bring out the edge detail of the leaves.

I like this photo as is. The colors of those leaves is a perfect representation of Japanese autumn to me. Great composition.

I have looked at this magnificent photo many times - and still find the dappled sunlight falling on the glorious burnt color very pleasing.
The framing, and crop defines a pefect study.

I agree with Adam, I like this photo as you have it (except for the copyright - i find my eyes are drawn to it in that particular sopt) Fantastic colours and good composition, Kyoto is one of my favourite places

Yep, that was a vibrant red color Ken. Very well presented. Sharp and well focussed to the leaves.
