Photographer’s Note
Super Yosakoi is an other event in Tokyo that gets a lot of attention from Tokyoites and tourists. We had our holiday arranged in such a way that we wouldn’t miss carnival and Yosakoi. And we were lucky that we did. It is a wonderful festival, all participants are so fanatic that you get tired watching them dance. They dance in groups escorted by a big truck where very loud music is played, sometimes I saw a DJ! There are three places where dance acts are held and where they are juried. They then dance in a specific street, for example Omotosando near Harajuku.
But the way they dance is probably with the same passion like Japanese do lots of other things, carnival, work etc.
Absolutely worth to visit!

Great photo I think...especially with your notes about the passion that these dancers show...and it certainly does show in this photo! A great capture of a dance move...and the enthusiasm shown in their faces is wonderful...especially the two on the right. Just a great shot.
