Photographer’s Note
Purikura or Print Club, machines where you can take pictures of yourself and your friends and make stickers were wildly popular when they first came out about 10 years ago. They are not quite so popular now but they are still pretty common. This one is tucked into a corner of a Daiso Y100 store.
The machines can be quiet sophisticated, allowing one to add various digital effects to the photos.

Hi Mike, by looking this photo. It really remind me about my childhood where i used to take pictures on those kind of machines too. The photo was colorful and normally girls were love that. Thanks for sharing. Well Done! Cheers! :)

Hi Mike
I used one of these in Tokyo, in an arcade in Ryogoku just opposite the station. They are fun AND you get a cool little souvenir. ^_^
I had photos taken with my Japanese friend, Tsutomu, and then again with my best friend, Pedro (Pedro and I were in Tokyo, as part of the school trip I organised..).
^___^
The photos from the booth make nice souvenirs, both of the time in Tokyo and of the friendships.
I think that is why they are so popular. They can be souvenirs of friendships, relationships with partners, and so on...
^_^;
Your photo could have done with being taken from a little futher away, to get a more complete picture of the booth.
I like the legs in the booth. :P Nice touch, shows it is being used. Looks like a guy and girl... boyfriend and girlfriend, getting a souvenir of their relationship.
;)
Thanks for posting. ^__^
Regards,
Richard
