Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken in the evening in Osaka. I really don't know how to classify his style. It was a blend of hippie with Native American with punk with a spray on tan. He definitely is an original!

Technically, not that great due to the excessive grain from shooting at 1600 and relying on available light. However,I thought it was a fun shot of youth culture.

The picture is grainy however the bright colours make it a good one. A very interesting style for sure. Good job.

Wonderful portrait Christina, very bright and full of life.
Really very well take, but it is a pity that the grain is so visible.
In spite of that it is really a good photo.

Quite a unique character, Christina, the distinctive outfit of the guy definitely outshines any grain or other technical issues. Interesting pose and gesture captured here, and the tight crop works quite well, too.

Hi Christina,

This is a phenomenon that I am really unfamiliar with - something I am learning about through TE actually! Fascinating subject... what a bizarre collaboration of costumes and styles - anything seems to go!

The workshop gives a kind of 70's/80's porn feel, however - I also think this might suit the bizarre costume he is wearing...

Interesting portrait, with lots of colours. I guess its the colours which are the high points of this image but I have done a WS to desaturate some of it. Just a different POV.
