Interesting shot here Christian. It's a pity about the overexposure on the left hand side (and the boy). When did you shoot? Midday? I think i'd be inclined to crop the left hand side, leaving the boy to the right of the photo.

Such a good capture; been viewed 254 times and scored only 2 points. Unbelievable.
Here you have anothe two points :-)!
Thanks for sharing

Nice and rustic photo you are sharing with us. The backdrop provides a unique scene setting up the boy in the middle. It may be a little overexposed but who cares, the moment is cute and was captured well.
The B&W was a good choice.
Thanks for sharing this small capture of the past.

Another geometrical composition that reminds me Cartier Bresson.
I can't believe it has been viewed 500 times and only 6 points... maybe is for the overexposure on the left hand side but for me is a good "catch" of a moment in the past.
I love these pictures that evoques old times and carry back to the past. This boy maybe now works in a big japanish company, or maybe is a famous TV presenter,or a homeless in Tokyo...or even could be died 5 or 10 years before. We don't know and maybe we will never know, but looking your pictures we can imagine lot of stories about your subjects and this is the magic powerful of the photography.
Thanks for sharing 40 years after!!

I was watching your portfolio for a while about Japan of old times. And, I was recalled time having passed, so I have become an elderly person before it knows.
This photograph is a photograph of the boy who is eating sweet in front of the dealer in lumber. It looks fresh strangely realistically that it is a black-and-white picture. And, it is impressive that carve the name of the shop and the size on the wood though I did not worry so much.
