Photographer’s Note
I had seen him sitting on the stairs like that for more than 10 mins.
Probably tired of waiting for his girl friend or shopping, he looked to be sad though.
Taken in Osu district.

bonjour Lauryn, j'aime bien les couleurs qui me font penser aux années 50, la position de l'homme assis, composition sont des points forts de ta photo, bravo et bonne fin de journée

Hi Lauryn,
a very successful shot. Your focus is bang on, I know you aid before you were having trouble with that. The colors are superb. Its so colorful there...in Korea this would be grey:) I like the many strong lines, verticals and diagonals. The boy is placed in the perfect position, although maybe you could do some slight adjustments with curves to make him a bit lighter.

Hi Lauren,
The glowing pink of the stairwell contrasts sharply with the blue mood radiating from your subject. I also like the strong graphic lines, the pink upsights against the the muted horizontal colors...Pat

Excellent photo, Lauryn, in fact one of your best so far, I think. The rainbow-colored flock of stairs provides a moody and graphically appealing setting, and the sad guy on the stairs is a good storytelling addition, also well placed in the overall compo. Nice candid shot.

Beautiful shot, Lauryn, outstanding through its use of colors that dramatize and intensify the boy's feelings, whatever they are...
Outstanding!

I would agree with others that this is excellent shot, without its colours it would have been much weaker, the grahpism and mood would still be pretty good, but nowhere near what we see now. While he looks resigned and said, the pink colour gives an impression of hope.
Great shot.

Wonderful shot! Very moody and intense in terms of feeling. The Pink make me think of a maternity clinic and the man could be waiting for the baby arrival ;o)
The lines are used here, leading the eye through the pic'. Light, colors, POV, DOF, moment...everything's fine. Bravo!
Cheers,
Pris.

Hi Lauryn,
I think all the good things have been pointed out already...I will just add that despite the gorgeous colours, I would love to see this in b/w for the maximum impact...

Hi Lauryn, I am so used to your shots out on the street, so this interior image is a nice change coming from you. Really strong maze of lines (both vertical and horizontal) here, and the colors really surprised me. I like where you have positioned the boy on the stairs. He looks really sad...

The various colorcontrast of these special harmonous saturated pastels , the various light/shadow, the graphical stairway, gradiants by short DOF, in that order, are the eyepullers to spot this contrasted blue of the man on the stairway in a pose that maintaines this an excellent rich still with a lot of quality elements well composed.
Outstanding

Great one Zig. The colors are very soft and really impressive. It looks like there was a filter involved here ! A scene I have seen before but full of impressions and really inviting imagination to a mix of emotions, going from sadness to fuzzyness.

Hi Lauryn, You made us feel sorry for this guy. Good capture of the mood with the feminism pinky tone colors surrounding his shame/shy/helpless figure. I enjoy your composition of cornering this guy to the side. A nicely taken picture.

Hi Laurin,
splendid release with a compressed blue man in a pink environment almost totally.
It's probably the portrait of a society that is changing.
Brava.

Great composition, Lauryn.
Dominant pink color is gorgeous and in contrast with blue on the windows and the boy's clothes.
Well seen and done!

Hi Lauryn,
I read what happened to you and feel very sorry that you have lost many pics and efforts you had invested, all my sympathy goes to you !
I long wanted to comment that one and the attitude of this guy now acquired a different dimension in addition of bringing the human element to this view, I really like here the shapes and colors of the surroundings + the overall framing, I have to tell this is one of my favorite photos of yours.
I hope that despite this unfortunate event your shooting envy is intact and wish you a nice week end,
Jean-Yves

Hi Lauryn.
Nice shot
