Photographer's Note
Tokyo International Forum that is :-)
This building is very close to Tokyo Station and not so far from the Imperial Palace.
It was designed by the American architect Raphael Vinoly, and is based on the design of a boat. The main hall (seen here) is 60m high and is covered in 2600 sheets of glass - earthquake resistant of course.
Beautiful place. I took loads of photos but didn't get a night shot. Next time maybe...

This is great - a wonderful place to photograph and you've done it well....Nice detail and lines. We're currently writing a book on photographing Tokyo and this building will be included. You might like to pass along some tips?...! I do have some night photos of the 'TIF' and it really does create a totally different atmosphere and mood - but this one taken during the day still has loads of charm. Watch out for the slightly greenish tinge you get with the inside lights. I know it has a very green feeling anyway, but minimizing it might be helpful. Overall, I think the sharpness and detail are great and I really do like the way you've composed this image. Nice work, Dan.

Very good, very geometric! I think it needs a very slight rotate to the right to straighen it. It's tilted by a slight amount which wouldn't make any difference for a normal photo, but the strength of this photo is in the strong lines, so I think it should be 100% straight.

Great shot. All the curves. The convex and concave and the lines formed by the crossing platforms. It's very impressive. Tha glass seems to just hang there and the concrete area on the right seems just as smooth and weightless as the glass. Very nicely photographed.

Nice point of view! Good composition.
I appreciate the "zigzag" which guides the audience to the background.
Nice shot!

You know, this image gives me stress. These lines and heavy architecture looks so massive..so complex. Very well captured.

Great shot! I think your composition is perfect. Wonder what focal lenght you needed for this shot. Amazing building, added it to my must sees in March.

You chose nice POV for this pic. This building has a great design. I tried to take several pic of this building myself but non of them came good. You have captured it very well.
The building is awesome no doubt, but whenever I see these kinds of structures, I wonder why people waste so much of resources just in the name of art.
