Photographer’s Note
I was walking around in my neighbour and found these kids playing in a small Shrine.
The place used for washing hands basically had become a great amusement park for them. You can check out another photo of the two kids in WS.
I asked them if I could take photos of them(they called me a news reporter), then I started shooting. At the begining they were worried about my camera might be getting soaked up in splashed water, but in a few minutes they completely forgot about it and even about me.
The Shrine is very small, where I had only been to a few times at some festivals. But I knew kids played a lot in summer because there was a water tap to chill hot bodies.

Hi Lauryn, you brought back some nice photos from Hiroshima. In this one, I like the natural and joyful expressions of the two boys who indeed seem to be oblivious of your presence. The elements of the fountain are well included for the framing. The WS photo is the slightly more compelling moment in terms of the expressions and postures of the kids, but both of them are quite charming.

Lauryn,
A moment of pure joy -- bravo!
It's so refreshing to see someone go into a shrine and come out with a picture that is not about devotion, or serious contemplation, or gentle beauty, but about childish joy and irreverence.
I know that more serious things must go on here, but I prefer the happiness of these kids. Nicely captured.

Hi Lauryn,
You've captured their happy expressions very well, its a very pleasant picture. Good to place them to the right and I like the little motion blurr of his hand. Good WS pics also. Nicely done.
Cheers,

Hi Lauren,
I love this shot; the way you've captured spontaneous joy with excellent detail and color. And you asked for permission. Clearly you are very non-intrusive photographer.
Regards, Pat
