Photographer’s Note
This was taken at my friends wedding, the picture shown is my friends wife, so she's not a friend friend if you know what I mean, so I hope this isnt breaking TE rules.
Anyway, I guess some of you knew that I was the photographer from my intro page for my friends wedding. Thats why I have been so busy selecting and cropping 60 pictures from a total of 467 pics I took of the wedding.
Here you can see the bride just relaxing with a cup of Japanese tea, taking a break from greeting all her guests.
Japanese weddings are very expensive, especially in Nagoya, it is the most expensive place to get married in Japan (Sorry I dont know why...just is)
I know some weddings cost in the region of 30,000 U.S bucks to 60,000 U.S bucks.
This wedding took place at the Rugby stadium in Nagoya (because the couple adore the sport and play and teach too) I managaed to get a shot of a player and the bride and me in. I wanted to keep her face anonymous.
I hope you like it

Hi Dan, This is a fun picture. I enjoy your notes as well as this picture. I think the answer to the why of the expensive wedding is that the people there can afford the expense. They have money to burn in those events to show their richness, I think.
A nice shot to the bride taking a break. Your image, however, is not clear in this picture.

Hu Dan!
Very good semi-reflection shot! The combination of the relaxing bride, the OOF Rugby player and you at work, is intriquing and just shows that the life of 3 people (as well as others) are flowing in parrallel lines, sometimes without out knowledge. The fact that the Rugby field and the buildings reflect on her face remind us that the bride has a connection with the reflected field...
I like the post very very much! Well done!

Superb and highly original shot, Dan. Delightful really. The player in the background on the pitch adds so much "fantasy" to this unusual shot. Full marks for creativity and orchestrating this complex pic.
Excellent work!

Hi Dan
I like the surrealistic & abstract nature of this image. I like the montage effect, of multiple superimposition of images. Good work!

Hi Dan. This is a quite brilliant and well-seen play of reflections, and it is also impeccably timed to have the person walking on the outside turf just framed by the members of the wedding party. The pose of the bride holding the teacup, and the guy's hands at the left are nicely included as well. Nice job, I hope you enjoyed your moonlighting as a wedding photog :)

Very professional elements on this picture.

Hi Dan,
It can’t be that silly TE-rules could prevent us from enjoying such a great moody picture. This is fabulous. The picture is full of symbolic. And I think I can recognize a very modest reflection of the photographer.

Hi Dan
I don't think that your shot brakes the rules of TE. I like how you combined the portrait of the bride and the reflections. Very nice job.

Hi Dan
Yes I know the trouble - I just held a party myself - but not at this kind of expence - You did a very fine job here giving us the most details in different levels.
Thanks for giving us this fine example of weddings from Japan.

Hi Dan,
This is very fine work. The bride sipping tea is high impact, appearing as it does in the ghost format. The background is alluring, with good dynamics and colour associated with the woman walking. Many layers of interest to enjoy. This is most enjoyable to view. Well done, Dan.

Hi Dan,
I like the concept of this pic..
The reflection of the bride in the window is just perfect.. I just wish that the man at the left side were not there.. :)
But, still, I love it.
PEACE,

Good and confusing reflection compo. Two worlds in one shot, with this bride dreaming at her youth leaving away. Very well composed.

Hi Dan - this is brilliant work, the artistic quality of it is enough to qualify this for TE even if she was your closest relative.
