Photographer’s Note
Girls posign in a typical japanese style.
I took / stole this photo in Kyoto.
The girls were posing for someone else, but I couldn't help shooting my camera. ;-)
I don't know the real meaning of this sing they make with their fingers, but it's not V for "victory".
The funny thing is that most young people do it in front of the camera.

Kawaii! (cute!) ^_^
You were lucky to get this shot of young girls posing, so congrats. I got just a few chances to take these kind of photos in Tokyo. Its fun to 'steal' other people's photos. :P
The 'V' sign seems to be another one of those anomalous gestures Japanese people have. I don't think it really means anything in particular. Group it along with pulling your eye and sticking your tongue out, or showing your thumb and two fingers together to the camera... just cool gestures to add a bit of fun to the photo.

Hi V-icente :-)
Nice catch indeed - I know a theme for this fine and funny shot.
