Photographer’s Note
Another shot of Himeji Castle. I converted to duotone since I felt color did not add much to the scene.

I like the duotone very much here Adam. I am uncertain about the composition. On one hand, the symmetry looks good, because you are balancing out the doorway on the right vs. the window on the left. However, I feel overall the shot is a little plain due to the symmetry. Perhaps aiming more to the right, where the interesting shadows seem to be would have worked better? Nice shot overall, very crisp.

one of the best shots I've seen in all your stuff, Adam. The range of tones is lovely, the geometric shapes carrying over into the shadow are great. The tone is lovely, i find the shot just far enough off center to work well, though a bit more off center wouldn't have hurt.

adam,
like the color scheme. a very simplistic approach but made elegant through the pov. texture and the details are great.good handling of light here.
