Photographer's Note

This is the very busy Ginza district of Tokyo a few days before New Years. The Japanese celebrate New Years very intensive, i believe it is 10 days! A lot of stores are closed and they visit their families. At midnight december 31st it is very quiet in Tokyo! No fireworks like it is common in most of Europe. The next day the Japanese go to the temples and bless the new year.

Ginza is the very expensive shopping district where you can get everything you want. From cars in the car showrooms to camera stores and huge department stores. On saturday or sunday the streets are car free and you can run thru the streets.
