Photographer’s Note
A father & Daughter dedicating coins to the shinto dragon god at the Enoshima Shrine...
Just reminds me of the coin-dropping in the wells / Ponds in the temple in India...
Some how dropping coins as a prayer to the local deity is some tradition I am able to see all over Asia...
Same as finding shaved heads in many temples independent of religion & Creed also in asia...
Here, I can see that they are very much dedicated in what they are doing... The way the culture is being inherited in Japan is on the same lines.. The culture as part of their daily life & nothing to do with the religion they follow...
Infact, Independent of the religion, the culture is some thing which is closely woven into the lifes of Japanese. I am very happy about that which is very much in contrast to behaviour I have seen, where switching religion is synonym with ditching the cultural behaviour & even ridiculing it some time!...

Hi,
I think the colours and lighting are fine, but you seem to have used a noise filter which unfortunately is changing this photo a bit too much (loss of details on rocks, leaves, cloth, etc). Maybe try filtering less next time. You might also want to use the "shadow/highlight" filter in photoshop (or the burn tool) to correct the overexposed areas.

Cedric

Hi Prem
an intim moment you caught with the scene of father and daughter, fine to see the culture here expresses in a tiny moment well explained in your note. Good clarity in natural coloring, the appl of NI is well done, a small trick is to do it on top duplicate layer, opacity and local erase tool.
The scene radiates a fine charming family daily cutural life moment very well.
