Photographers Note
Here is another picture from Japan, taken on a rainy day. The scene is somewhere in Kyoto, perhaps Arashiyama, but I am not sure after so many years. What I know is that I found the set just after the visit of a temple, on the way out. The girls in the back thought I was taking only their picture, and kindly stopped for a while, actually I wanted some motion because the low light was quite appropriate for this kind of pictures.
The building in the back looks like a temple, perhaps someone from Japan can help me in better explanations.

Hello Izzet, what a beautiful, subtle (for me absolutely impossibly...) understated photo. It's Kyoto of course which cries out for this kind of subdued treatment. This is nothing short of brilliant, the two colors, RED coat and GREEN brollie, jousting across a drab grey space that is nonetheless enchanting.
Very deep sensitivity on display here. You are a "master", that is no secret I think...
Kidn regards,
Francis

Hi Izzet, that's nice of them, stopping so that you can get a pictureof them, maybe they didn't want to get in the way of the camera, so that you could get a clean shot of the building :). Very nice composition with the ghostlike blur of a man with the green umbrella and the two girls. The colorful umbrellas are nice together with the grey weather.

Konuşan şemsiyeler, yürüyen insanlar ve ıslak bir uzakdoğu sokağı bundan daha iyi resmedilemez sanırım. Nefis. Elinize sağlık..

The shot intrigued me because in thumbnail format it looked uninteresting, so I wanted to see if there was something that would be gained from seeing it blown up a bit. Wow, the green umbrella is awesome, kind of surreal.
