Photographer’s Note
Food in Japan is always an Enigma for any Gai-Jin [A foreigner-generally white].Here the food is always very aesthetic & stylish..
Mostly, When people talk about Japanese food, often the one being referred is Shushi. But a different, very Lively & Social food form is what I have tried to show here...These sessions are generally, referred to as Shabhu-Shabhu, as I understands from friends here.
This is something of a relaxed food, where in you need to indulge in cooking your food by dipping very thin layers of meat in a water/soup heated centrally.
A very relaxed food & you can see a lot of life around it..Always I find people Chatting lively around it, contrast to a standard shushi bar, where it is almost ritualistic.
Cheers,
Prem.

Hi there. Nice picture, it seems like italian "prosciutto". I suggest to increase a bit the contract to make it more vivid and make the food to popo up from the dish.

Very nice tones, that do marvel to this tight compo, Premanand. Some of the white light reflections here and there go a bit against it, as i look at it as still life subject, but the placings of the objects surely help your realization.

Hello Prem. I love Shabu Shabu, it's like Chinese hotpot. This is a very attractive picture, nicely composed and the light reflected off the rims of the dishes is very beautiful. Makes me hungry!

Hi Premanand
A very well composed image. The details of fineness and clarity is good. Especialy the cropping and framing. Another point to it is the lighting effect which give the natural toning and the "live" effect.
Well done, Premanand.
Tahnks for sharing and wishing you a Happy New Year.

Hi Premanand,
First of all, thank you for your visit. I really appreciate your comment.
I like this photo because it reminds me of Mongolian Hotpot I enjoyed many times while living in China. While in Japan I haven't had a chance to eat Shabu-Shabu but I've heard about it and your picture makes me very eager to try it. I like the composition. Colors could be more saturated and the whole picture could be sharper. I don't like that blue thing / line in the back, just above the glass.
Thank you for sharing
Pawel
