I saw the picture of the Tocho posted by Jamiep so I thought I would also post one. This is of the west side of shinjuku where all the skyscrapers are located. The photo was taken at about 9 pm. the tallest building int he picture is the Tokyo Tocho . THe new tokyo metropolitain governmetn building.

I was using a rented sigma 8mm lens. and the shutter speed was actually 6 sec but that wasnt an option in the pull down. The camera was pointing stright up to the sky.

Very intriguing shot Boof and well presented. One almost feels a little dizzy trying visually follow the circle :-)

Fun shot, I like this circular view, unusual. The various colors of the buildings and lights in the windows makes it quite colorful.

Nice and intersting. How can we see the whole neighbour hood in one frame? The sky is great, the color and lights arwe excellent.
Well done!

Wow...l'effet...est superbe et les couleurs tres agreables....

A wonderful fisheye shot indeed!

Your posting is a prove that you didn't regret renting that 8mm lens. Thanks for the note as well, Jef.

Beautiful shot. Interesting concept and very colourful. I like the way the images attempt to converge in the middle.

excellent use of fisheye, colors are great

This is great! The colours are so vivid. Almost looks like you were laying on the ground! (I see now that you used a tripod) I'm really glad that you posted this photo because it show us amatures different creative ways to take a photo!

Good effect and nice colors.
Original shot and well seen!

This is amazing! Great colors, perspective and composition. I've always wanted an ultra-wide lens!!!

This is a good use for a fisheye lens. Often they fail as the subject is not suited, this one is - excellent shot.

This is a place I've visited many times, but I've never seen it like this. Don't you just love the light pollution which allows you to see the clouds at night? There aren't many instances where an 8mm lens will produce acceptable results, but here it almost works. Did you intentionally crop the top and bottom?

Nice shot. Have you thought about cropping on the side? Just asking - maybe it'll make a bit too symmetrical.

Hahaha, priceless picture! There are some flaws, but the very cool execution make them irrelevant!
