Photographer’s Note
I was at the entrance of a hotel in Nagoya twin towers. Then I noticed that everythings looked as if drawing lines. I wanted to capture it in the frame, but I have a feeling that I missed something..
It is very difficult to express what my eyes catches in front of me and reflect it in the frame. Sometimes it looks too much different.

hi lauryn,
i like the idea of this photo, it has interesting graphical lines. i agree with you, something is missing. for me, it's the presence of someone going across the photo more in the foreground, because all your people are the same height and looking in one direction, and they are not arranged within the frame in any special way (except there is the reflection of one person walking across the photo, but there is not enough of them, and they are also the same size as everyone else.)
the same thing happens to me sometimes -- what i capture on film is not what i see.
it was a good impulse to take this picture. i my opinion you just need more variety within the frame.

I think this is a great shot. I would -probably- have cropped the bottom 10% to take away the reflection of the verticals. There is an unusual dynamic here, with the static people viewing, but a gut is half visible walking from the centre(-ish) of the frame. The etching on the glass also adds a bit of interest as it overlaps itself as the doors cross over. Yep, I like it.

I agree with the comments below. You have a great shot, the only thing missing is some surprise in the foreground - maybe just this guy almost there in the middle. If you crop the bottom, it will help. Beside that, keep shooting because you have a good eye.

good idea!
great framed photo. i like b&W workshop. it's hard to take a photo in buildings do not to use a flash. good contrasts and shape of colours. beauty lines and reflections on the floor.

Lauryn, I remember this striking shot from weeks ago, and I meant to comment and then I moved on... This is avery strong compositionally and mod-wise. Reminds me a bit of the observation floor of the new Roppongi Hills tower in Tokyo. A mixture of awe and desolation, like much "official" modern architecture in Japan. You show a very sophisticated sense of design, good geometrical shapes and ncie B/W tones. nice! Francis

A great shot. This symmetry in lines makes you feel like in a futuristic, perfectly-organized city...a little possimistic, though the contrast and the idea are great!
