Photographer’s Note
This is the famous Golden Temple in Kyoto, Japan. Although originallly built in 1397, it was burned down in 1950 by a monk and thus rebuilt in 1955. Apparently the remainder of the gold leaf exterior wasn't completed until the 1980's. Unfortunately you're not allowed to enter inside, but it's quite impressive. The grounds are very nice as well.

Hey, look who's back!
Hey Donald, great shot of the templs, I like the colors and the fact that also captured them reflecting off the water.
I've been to Japan a few times now, but have never made it outside of Tokyo as I'm always on business. I'd love the opportunity one day...
Cheers mate, and WELCOME BACK!

Hello Donald,
I was attracted bu the Kinkakuji temple,
because I've been there a couple of times,
As you say this is an extraordinary place to visit, sometimes too crowded too.
I am aware that you wanted to take the reflections of the pond, and you chose and shoot vertically, plus the tree on the right, but I think that you needed more space around.
I don't whether this is the original cropping, nevertheless I will try to build-up the same picture again, and extend it on it's borders. I'll post the work shop when it is ready.
Now the good things : The diffuse light, the reflections, and the foreground are all good assets.

Hello Donald...Very nicely framed shot. I like the tree on the right adding to the frame and the perfectly fitted branches in this scene. You have a good eye for framing your photos. I am back up from having a hard drive failure. I really missed my PC...Hopefully not addicted to it.

A very well composed scene artistically rendered. The golden colour of the temple is well reflected here. The rocks and tree provide balance on the right. A pity about the branch on the left, but the overall effect is very satisfying and conveys the peace of the place. Well captured, Don. Regards.
