This photograph is taken towards a five-storied pagoda at the site in Hōryū-ji Temple. Hōryū-ji is a temple connected with Prince Shōtoku(572-622). It is supposed that Emperor Yōmei(518–587) prayed and built for the recovery of his sick. He passes away without waiting for the completion, and Empress Suiko(554–628) of his child, and Prince Shōtoku of his nephew received the will and inherited together, and made it complete in 607. Empress Suiko accedes to the throne in 593, Prince Shōtoku of a nephew is nominated as regency of government. Prince Shōtoku adopted Buddhism as the political keynote, and aimed at improvement in the culture of a country, and Buddhistic rise. In such a sense, Prince Shōtoku is ancestor of Japanese Buddhism rise. In vast site of 187,000 square meters, a lot of cultural assets including the 19 national treasure buildings exist. If it says from building construction, the oldest wooden structure group in the world is placed.

The pagoda is taken from a very good angle and because of the leafless branches of the tree we get a very good view of it from this POV.
The walkway on the foreground is a good lead-in to the temple.
Very well composed.
Best regards, Paul

Winter ambiance prevailed, with mostly grey tones and the naked branchs trees. Yet, a fine clear view of the temple and the pagoda on BG.
An askewed angle approach, added extra DOF to the whole.
Have a nice new week,

Excellent view of this beautiful temple. It looks similar like temples I've visited in Kyoto. The temple is very good light. The slightly diagonal perspective is superb.

Thanks to your notes, thus we have more time to concentrate on the subject matters, the compo works with amazing detail throughout & the structures of the temple look great being the main focal of this shot. the soft shadows help to boost the depth in this orientation and the textures are well seen and all in natural winter colours. Your additional picture too is informative showing the design and architecture of the core temple really good. The exposure is pleasant with excellent sharpness and contrast. i think you have done you very best here, Congrats.
