My main purpose to visit here is this one, "Traial training for Fire Extignishing" that is held at each 2nd Sunday in November. These houses are east to be fired so fire extignishing tarining / preparation is very important there. The view was so fantatsic as such even tghough the weather was rainy unfortunatelly, the number of garalleies icncluding me was astonishing too.

What an unusual and exciting view! The combination of the peculiar and beautiful houses and the diagonal jets of water is stunning. The autumn colours complete the fine composition.

such an unusual spectacle and you have done ever so well to capture it from a good position.
The jets of water seen to mirror the shapes of the roofs of the pretty houses, the autumnal tones help to give charm to a most intriguing scene.Thank you.
Kind regards Les.

hi takero. this is such a unique moment, i see for the first time, so many fire extinguishers operating together. the result is almost surreal. the rainy weather also gave you beautiful subdued colors. high pov and vertical compo work very well.

At first sight, I thought the water was sprayed to irrigate the fields. After reading your note, I understood that the purpose was quite different. Anyway, this is something quite unusual to see in our European countries, but it would be a great idea to take up in high fire risk areas. Very good and interesting shot.

fantastica questa immagine, è sorprendente come abbiano pensato a conservare queste abitazioni tradizionali, cercando di preservarle da un eventuale incendio con un ricco sistema antincendio.
Il pov scelto è ottimo per presentarci questa splendida foto.

An event well worth visiting Takero and what a unique image. I am impressed not only by this fine shot but also by the well organised and careful approach towards fire fighting. I hope nobody had their washing hung out to dry! Excellent TE submission. Warm regards Rosmary

hello dear takero,
So even in Shirakawago there is kind of festival! And with all these buildings in wood and big thatched roofs it is very important to operate fire extinguishers. Amazing view with all the jests. very original and fascinating picture.
Warm regrads Malgo

hello Takero ,
This is a wonderful village of old wooden architecture with so picturesque thatched roofs And the annual training for fire extignishing was a great opportunity . The effect is mamazing .
Thnaks for the share .
photoray (13725) 2013-11-16 6:19
A very interesting scene for the multiple water sprinklers erupting and surrounding the entire village area, and the classical house construction.
I had a concrete tile roof constructed on my home to help avoid fires igniting it. Wood shake roofs are very popular in California, but also very flammable.
Have an excellent weekend,

Hello dear Takero,
this is a vibrant and fascinating spectacle that you have captured in a well considered vertical frame that makes the visual exprerience so rich and rewarding. There's a range of patterns that repeat themselves and excellent depth and clarity allow us to enjoy their interaction effectively. I also enjoy looking for distinctive details and feeling the freshness and the scents evoked. You've captured a harmonious colour palette and an exciting atmosphere. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
mkamionka (33685) 2013-11-16 12:27
