he must be the winner. Excellent catch Takero. Superb use of shallow depth of field to creat such bokeh alongwith such details of his face. The mudspots (I assume) on his face even his teeth is clearely visible. Great colour tone. A nice portrait with a winning expression in his face. Great portrait work as ever. Tfs.

hello Takero ~
A great character portrait. What he is wearing is unusual and interesting, and worth perhaps a bit of explanation in your note. But you are right, it is his expression, nicely bokeh'ed against a soft kaleidoscope of pastels, that makes this. The mud and grit on his face, even his teeth, wonderful to catch him in the very moment of victory before he wiped that away. Good catch.

Hello dear Takero,
this is a classic pose and expression of a race winner (or a scorer) as we often see on sports broadcasts. Only here the sport and the athlete's gear are so unique and interesting. You've captured a wonderful portrait, so vivid and eloquent, impressively clear and fascinating. The excitement of the race and his victory lingering in his eyes. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

I thought it was a portrait of a warrior, the expression on his face is so intense. But horse racing is sort of a fight too and this wonderful portarait shows that winning took quite an effort from this brave man. Wonderful costume details too. Great portrait!
Have a great evening!

A wonderful photograph. Your signature style is the true emotional impression of the personalities pictured in their natural state .... powerful and real. You have a gifted eye to catch the meaning in the story at play. Your photos tell a rich story. The technical aspect of your work is flawless ... but you simply go beyond this with the context caught in the events you capture. Wonderful work. Pages could be written about what this man feels and has accomplished, but your photo shows us more.
If I could put a double happy face I would !

Hi dear Takero. The samurai spirit lives on. Great portrait of a brave rider. In your previous shot one could see sand being kicked in the air by the galloping horse, her we can see where some of the sand landed.Top shot, top moment. Regards. Klaudio.

Konichiwa Takero san
Very intense portrait of this rider after the race, the strain of the race is so palpable in his face. As usual your DOF is perfect with the colored background soft and out of focus. The riding dress he wears seems to be of much interest to with the golden armor on the sleeve.
have a great sunday

Très beau portrait de ce coureur de chevaux avec son costume. La photo montre bien l'expression de fatigue sur son visage. Bien fait.
