This view was taken as we were climbing a low mountain in Takao. We stopped for a while at an open-air restaurant and suddenly this scene just loomed before me. The ribbed, orange curve at the top is part of a giant umbrella commonly found in restaurants in Japan.

I would have prefered all natural colours - of which there were plenty - rather than the synthetic colour of the umbrella and the buildings. Of course, I realize you are juxtaposing nature with "civilization", but I'd prefer the former without the latter here.
