Powerful athletes in start line, a photo from Kanagawa, Kanto

Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in International Convention of the track and field held in Kawasaki. Since my seat was near the starting line of short distance competition, this photograph was able to be easily taken in comparison. I think that this photograph was track events of 110-meter hurdles. A sprinter's body seems to forcible and muscularity. They ran out of the starting line with the signal gun, and ran out in a straight line aiming at the goal. It is the game which combines instantaneous power and forcibleness. A match is come to an end before or after 13 seconds. Unlike an organization sport, the physical ability which an individual has reflects track and field in results directly. In such a meaning, it may be able to be called the most basic sport of all sport.

Hello Mikio,
A nice and different kind of picture. The colourful line-up of athletes have a fine background in the red ground. The diagonal they make is countered by the diagonals of the white lines. The athletes' faces and bodies show a lot of strength which is well captured. The light and sharpness are also very good.

In this picture there is the potential energy well. Cut the image from lower left corner to top right corner is an interesting and beautiful.

A lovely action shot with these runners are taking off. I like the red background with white track lines as opposed to the colorful outfits these runners are wearing. Nice expression of determination on their faces that each wants to be the number one.

The picture is spectacular. These men who barely touch the ground are perfectly visible in full effort. The framing is nice with the lines of the tracks. Excellent light, colors and sharpness. Bravo.

A nice action shot with good movement. A nie idea to take it right at the start when the movements are exhoed by all the runners. I might be tempted to try and crop out the pair of trousers in the top right of the screen.
