Photographer's Note
I have just come back from a short domestic business trip for a fwe days. This year is very very impressive, important and unforgettable year for me and Japan at many points and views.
We have only 3 days for 2011. Many various momories come up and go away in my mind.
This bride procession festival is one of most impressive festivals for me.

dearest Takero,
I have not been very present these last months on TE but I cannot let this eventful year finish without a few words for you :)
it has been a terrible year for many, for many reasons surely unforgettable. although like this young woman we all want to look forward to what is coming, although we always hope, year after year, that the best is yet to come, there is always the moment when we look back and think about the things that happened, or the people we met, or the places we saw... some of them will be lost forever, some will accompany us further.
one thing is for sure: life goes on and it doesn't wait for us - we can only choose to be in it or out of it.
thanks for your many impressive shots of Japanese life and culture, for sharing the traditions and the emotions of a unique country and its people.
My best wishes for 2012 to you and your family :)

Hi Takero !
A very good picture and very meaningful too, as she looks toward the future seriously. I admire the sharpness and the harmony of colors with the blue and red kimonos, in the bokeh behind, is excellent. An impressive portrait for an impressive year. But I hope that 2012 will be more peaceful for you all, in Japan, with more occasions to celebrate than to fear. I wish you personally a Happy New Year 2012, and that we will be lucky to see many more of your photos during next year! They are a very valuable testimony on the traditions of Japan, with a unique flavour.
Congratulations!
Regards

hello Takero,
I like the narrow DOF so that we concentrate on just one of the ladies but still get an impression of the line. A lovely profile that has been well cropped.
Excellent!

Hello Takero - I do like your ability to isolate faces by use of DOF. This is an enchanting image and the subject is captured with such a serious expression on her face, she conveys an elegance and dignity. A fine shot. Warm wishes and many blessing for you and your family in 2012. I trust Japan will flourish in the new year after the tragedy of the last. Rosemary
