The Shinkyo Bridge at Nikko about 100 miles north of Tokyo. I've cloned out a couple of power poles & wires behind the bridge.
This Sacred Bridge (神橋 Shinkyō?) crossing the Daiya River, belongs to the Futarasan Shrine, which is about 2km over on the left.
"Between the Japanese town of Nikko and its main shrines is the Shinkyo (sacred bridge), a red lacquered span that arches gracefully across the Daiya River.
Legend has it that the hermit who settled Nikko was carried across the river here by two serpents. In feudal times, the sacred bridge could be used only by the emperor (Shogun).
The Shinkyo has long been considered one of the most beautiful structures in Japan, its simple elegance contrasting with the wildness of the river gorge, the green hills, and the tumbling waters.
From here, a road leads into the park, threading through 16,000 towering cedar trees."

The point of view is very well chosen using the fence and the well defined shadows to lead the viewer toward the bridge. The image is very nicely lit and has excellent colours and sharpness.

I like the way you have captured the red bridge with the path leading to it. I like the shadow of the fence and some snow on the path. The atmosphere, colors and sharpness are great.

Very fine perspective created by the walkway and the lovely red bridge crossing horizontally makes a fine geometrical composition with the rail. A very strong but fine light gave you intense colours and atmosphere enriched by the snow. Quite crisp and clear.

This is a great one, with such wonderful depth of field and flawless focus! I love the smattering of snow which adds another dimension to this otherwise sunny photo. The railing in the foreground really creates an almost three dimensional feeling to the photo. The red bridge is wonderful. Very appealing, warm regards,

A refreshing picture with this snowy view. The railings give good depth and perspective, acting as a backbone of the compo!
Good general quality.

Hi Chris, great perspective here, I love the way the bridge leads the eye in zig-zags all over the frame. And the little vestiges of snow are such a nice touch. Difficult light conditions, but you made the most of them with a good play of light and shadow, especially of the railings in the foreground. Nice work, have a beaut evening, Lisa
