This wheat field caught my eye on route 391 between Mashuu Lake and Shiretoko in Hokkaido. Then the chapel also caught my eye, so I slammed on the breaks to take this shot. The chapel is one of thousands in Japan that specializes in Wedding ceremonies. I say specialize but I don't think they actually do anything else.

Very nice shot : I like the sky with its grey clouds and the contrast with the wheat field. well composed, very sharp.

How bizarre.... that a chapel is in that area. The imagery is pretty nice though, but it doesn't draw me in too much.

No wonder those colours caught your eye. It is very pretty indeed. Not sure that it couldn't have composed differently though. Dividing the frame between land and sky in the middle is rarely a good idea and I think that you would have been better of heeding rule of thirds on this occassion too.
Also the fact that there are two main motives (the hay stack and the chappel) which are equally dominant is a little distracting. You might have done well in jumping a fence gettin closer to the hay-stack having that as forground and the chappel as back-ground (or the like). Just ideas though. Still a pretty scene and a good pic of it!

The colors are fantastic and the composition is 5 stars. The white building gives it a touch of life.
