Photographer’s Note
This is a shot near the gates of the Imperial Palace gardens in Tokyo. On the right are the stone walls, and around it is a water body that guards the Imperial palace area.
Here is a Cormorant, waiting for fish, keeping still as a rock. When we went inside the garden it was there, and when we came out after an hour, it was still there, in the same pose. Perseverence pays off, as we say, it soon got its meal, as it dived to bring out a small fishy snack in its beak.
This picture also captures a glimpse of the Tokyo skyline, the Tokyo Tower is clearly distinguishable among the haze.
Tech:
cropped above for proportions. sharpened, levels adjusted.
I don't know what experts will say about it, but I went for a 4x4 compo. How about that?

Interesting note...it gives more meaning into your very serene urban scene. Good colors and textures.
