Photographer’s Note
Toyohashi Futagawa Shuku Honjin Museum
During the Edo Period (1603 to 1868 ) the Tokaido was the most important route connecting Edo (old Tokyo) and Kyoto - Osaka area.
There were 53 rest stations along the Tokaido route, Futagawa Shuku was the 33rd station along the route.
The museum allow get a sense of what life was in the Edo period, I take this shot of representation, they are not real people.

Hello George
This photo conveys the atmosphere for old Japanese custom and tradition very well. I think this one is good but other people besides Japanese cannot understand you, it is a little difficult to appreciate, so no comment besides me. But I appreciate it.
Best regards and thanks for sharing.

I like the serenity in this scene and the green tones ... A great capture.

Very nice use of the light, George. I like the way the man's face becomes just a crescent--it's somehow like a Picasso drawing in the way that the face is vivid (a picture of serenity) even though all we see is mostly a simple outline. It very much captures the atmosphere of Japan. Regards, Ken.

Hello George
Looks like a typical Japanese scene although I have never been here. The greenish tinge to the image is very good and the scene is well balanced. The dark shadows adds to the mood. Well done
