Photographer’s Note
Landscape near Miyagi Zao (蔵王町).
This region is famous for skiing and hot springs (onsen). At this height level outstretched maple forests can be found, on higher levels more heavy snow and fir trees become more frequent. This picture was taken near Sumikawa snow park.
I used low exposure time, an in postprocessing increased the lightness with MS PhotoEditor.

Hello Mike
What!? This is Japan?
Being the stupid westener as I am I hwould never have expected to see a landscape like this outside Norway.
I really am quite amazed.
You have managed an interesting POV and composition that really gives the right impression of a harsh winter.
WB looks good so the features are clearly visible even in the snow.
If I should comment anything I would make a note that the photo looks like it has a lot of grain. It is proparbly just the amount of small detail that creates this but with the small size of TE photos it is hard to enhance the areas in question to get a more detailed look.
None the less, it is a great photo.
Odd Jarle
