Gulls in Matsushima Photo

Photographer’s Note

Matsushima is one of the 3 most beautiful view in Japan. There are thousands of small islands which are coverd with pine trees. It is good to see from the bay, but it is much better to take a ship and go around the ocean. It is about 1400 yen which is about 12 dollars, 10 euros, 14 CHF.
From Tokyo, you take Shinkansen until Sendai, then take Senseki line and get off at Matsushima-Kaigan station.

in general I'm not that fond of tilted horizons, but in this one it suits the picture fine. Great sharpness.

Your photo is excellent, considering how difficult it is to get good photos of fast moving animals, especially birds. The gull in front is in focus quite nicely, and quite sharp.
