A HAPPY NEW YEAR !

I would like to start this year's posting from this one.

I just back to my house from short express trip in norten area. We, Japanese usualy go to shrines or temples for praying in the morning of new year. At this area village people together horses(almost family member) go to shrine for praying. Today I am very lucky to see this solemn mountain, this is seldom to see in winter season.

I hope all of us will be good luck and in good health condition this year.

the beauty of TE is not only photography, but also the opportunity that it gives us to know new places and traditions.Learn about the world through photography, indeed.Interesting this image from your Japan (well made the colours of horses' trapping).I have always been fascinated by the contrast between the highly technological Japan and this more traditional.

you started new year with very fine photo. I like placing people and horses against this beautiful landscape. The cold colors of the scenery are perfect background and make the bright colors of main subjects even more outstanding.

Your shots of traditional Japan have often been taken as part of urban festivals, Takero, so it's interesting to see this one, clearly far from the bustle of Tokyo but no less visually stunning. Nicely composed, with the bright colors of the horses and people contrasted with the winter landscape beyond, and a beautiful peak to top it off. Happy New Year to you as well, my friend!

The snow-covered mountain range in the background is probably the top of Fuji - Jama - is great. In the foreground, the boys lead two horses, beautifully adorned to welcome the New Year. A great combination of excellent quality and color.

Hello Takero, every 1st of the New Year in my country of Greece we all go to church and pray so we have something in common! Your picture is amazing like all your pictures from beautiful Japan. It is a great joy for me to see them every day and admire the colors, the traditional details and the beautiful portraits!

You have captured and presented gorgeous vivid colors in this photo. The color contrast against darker forest hills is excellent and the white mountains in BG perfect. The overall luminosity is very good. Bravo!!!

amazing start of the year! I like this one as it presents the festival elements in the context of nature which makes it double as interesting for me. I like very much the snowy decoration starting from the foreground and extending to the mountain on the horizon.
