This is another of my shots from Mt. Iwaki. The mountain is situated in Aomori prefecture on the northern tip of Honshuu, the main Island. Aomori itself stands for Blue Forest ??, though the interesting thing is that in Japan people make little distinction between the colours blue and green, so it could also be interpreted as Green Forest as well. Sometimes, though, when I'm stood at the top of the mountain looking down over the tree-tops it does look kind of bluey.
I auto-adjusted the levels on this shot, but decided that it shouldn't be sharpened because I like the soft edges.

I'm guessing that it was a fairly misty day ... at that exposure and shutterspeed, you would have to have some moisture in the air to get this soft edged look. Was it intentional? Otherwise a higher ASA film and a higher shutterspeed would help sharpen the effects...however I love the dream like quality to the picture.
Personally I'd have put the sun in the middle of the frame, but that's just me..I'm a symmetrist!

A great photo and one which can be explored time after time.
Amazing depth beyond the trees and the ray of sunlight is a work of art in itself.

You played beauty with the depth of this image. The orange tint of the sun adds to your composition and seals the mood.
Very stong work. Keep up the work manno!
